About Cheryl
Cheryl has a background in Art History and worked for 15 years in art and history museums, most recently serving as Executive Director of the Hopewell Museum in Paris, Kentucky. She spent most of her museum career working with students and teachers across Kentucky while managing National History Day in Kentucky. After more than a decade spent in museums Cheryl shifted to nonprofit work. She now enjoys a more behind the scenes role at BGCF processing gifts and grants and working with the Finance team in other efforts.
Cheryl is a too many generations to count Kentuckian on her father’s side and a native Floridian courtesy of her mother. She has lived in Frankfort since returning to Kentucky in 2011 and enjoys working with the community through the Frankfort Elks and Capital Pride KY, in addition to just enjoying the camaraderie that comes from living in downtown Frankfort! She has two manx cats rescued from the streets, is a mediocre runner with 3 Bourbon Chases on her record, and enjoys traveling to as many countries as she can in her lifetime!
