Alison Jackson

Alison joined the Foundation in 2021 as the Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO, and her path since then says a lot about her drive and leadership. Today, she’s the main link between the Foundation and Lexington’s nonprofit community, working closely with the nearly 100 nonprofits that hold funds here, helping them grow their endowments, tap into resources, and connect with each other through info sessions, networking, and cohort programs. She also leads the Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative, guiding the advisory board’s grantmaking and fundraising efforts focused on equity: building trust with Black-serving, and historically under-resourced organizations, and breaking down barriers to philanthropic access.

Her people-first style is rooted in a background in organizational development, HR, and board relations, backed by a master’s from the University of Louisville and a bachelor’s from Eastern Kentucky University — both earned while working full-time (free time, what’s that?).

Off the clock, she’s all about a good cup of coffee and time with family and friends. But true to her introvert card, she’s also known to take a spontaneous solo road trip — no destination required.
