Franklin County Community Fund Awards Grants to Support COVID-19 Relief Efforts
The Franklin County Community Fund Board of Advisors announced that more than $8,000 has been granted from the Frankfort-Franklin County COVID-19 Response Fund. The Fund was established in April to provide critical support to vulnerable populations in Franklin County who are adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
- Frankfort Immigration Assistance Network (FIAN) received a grant of $2,500 to provide Sav A Lot Gift certificates for families in need to purchase food, fresh produce and other essential supplies.
- Frankfort Area Children’s Council Sunshine Center received a grant of $2,700 to provide food and shelter to area victims of domestic violence and child abuse.
- Frankfort Women’s Shelter received a grant of $3,000 to provide shelter food, transportation and personal care needs women and children experiencing homelessness.
